Congratulations on joining the Reality Crafting family of affiliates!
This page provides you with many tools and tips so that you can maximize your earnings potential. How much you earn is up to you. The amount of creativity and attention you put into to your affiliate business will mean the difference between earning a little or a lot of passive income. My hope yfor you is that you will earn LOTS of passive income.
The Basics
Being an affiliate is pretty straight forward. You introduce folks to Reality Crafting and if they purchase products you earn a percentage of the sale as a commission. The key to being successful is providing effective "introductions" to Reality Crafting. Fortunately the tools you will use for these introductions, also called directing traffic, will be provided by Reality Crafting, so you don't have to create anything special. However, if the inspiration strikes you please be creative!
TOOLS: Affiliate Media
The tools you need for your affiliate business are called affiliate media. These tools are available to you when you log in to your account. In addition, you will receive emails with special promotion items that you can use to direct traffic to Reality Crafting.
You introduce people to Reality Crafting in one of two ways:
1) Placing links inside email messages which are then mailed out to your mailing lists, and/or
2) Placing links on your website
You simply copy and paste the HTML into your website or email, and then when a person clicks on the item, your affiliate code or item code is tracked for that person. That person is now considered you "lead." You will be paid a commission on every eligible purchase made by your leads over the next two months.
Whether you choose to drive traffic through emails or on your website, you will be able to choose from four specific "types" of marketing tools:
- Standard
- Ads
- Text Links
- Emails
These tools can be found in your personal affiliates area under "Get Links & Marketing Tools." Each of these is discussed in more detail below.
Standard:
The standard marketing tool is simply a link to Reality Crafting's eStore with your affiliate ID. This type of link can be used in a web page or in an HTML email body.
You can create a "standard" link as text, an image, or any clickable object.
This link would look like <a href="http://www.realitycrafting.com/cmd?af={your AffilID}">Reality Crafting</a>, where Reality Crafting could be replaced with any clickable object.
The URL that this link will redirect to is http://realitycrafting.com/Storefront. This must be kept in mind because you would not want to advertise Reality Crafting's blog or eZine with this link.
TextLink:
Text links are simple text items that link back to Reality Crafting.
The primary difference between a TextLink and the Standard is that text links do not necessarily get redirected to the Storefront.
In your personal affiliates area under "Get Links & Marketing Tools" the URL tells you where the TextLink will redirect to. Certain TextLinks might direct traffic to the eZine sign up or an artical for instance. You can choose what you wish to promote.
In addition, the TextLink type tracks clicks for that specific tool. This can be tracked by you under "Get Reports" in your affiliate area.
Ads:
This type of marketing tool has the benefits of TextLinks becuase the clicks are tracked and the redirection does not necessarily go to the eStore.
The difference is that with an Ad Reality Crafting provides media that is designed for specific marketing purposes. This media will usually be a graphic, and will somtimes also include text. Choose teh images that work best for you.
The method for deliving Ads to your webpage or email is the same as for the first two types. Simply copy the HTML code from "Get Links & Marketing Tools" of your affiliates area and paste it into your email or webpage.
Email:
This type of marketing tool is used primarily by affiliates who do not have a website.
It provides a complete email body (text and/or graphics) which can be copied and pasted into a list-serv application or any email client.
Readers of this email then have the opportunity to click on the links in the email which will direct them to the Reality.
